Celestial bodies

A celestial body is anything outside of the Earth's atmosphere.

Circumsolar stars don't go below the horizon, so they can only be found at the poles.

The poles are at the axis of rotation of a rotating celestial body.

The zodiac is a group of 12 constellations that can be seen during midnight depending on the time of the year. They are found along the equatorial plane.

Telescopes

Refraction is the bending of light as it passes through one transparent substance through another. It is used to form the focal length and principal point.

The aperture is the diameter of the objective lens in refractor telescopes, while it is the diameter of the primary mirror in a reflector telescope.
