Today, we built a water rocket. We built its fins and we attached it to a plastic bottle with an air valve. We pumped it with high-pressure air, with water as its propellant. The water would then be propelled from the water rocket, launching it. Ours was too heavy, so it just barely lifted off the ground and flew a few metres. It still flew further than a lighter one, which turned back and landed behind ours. We added a tennis ball to the front of the rocket to allow it to tilt forward and propel horizontally.
I felt that launching the rocket was memorable, as seeing something I helped make flew.
I felt that it cannot really be applied in daily life, unless it involves pressure, pipes or water rockets. We could have made the rocket spin for more stability. It was quite tiring as we needed to run up and down the staircases to go to the rooftop to launch the rocket.
